SUMMARY:Energibärare för hållbara transporter
\nThe seminar will be held in Swedish.

SUMMARY:Electrified regional and long-range heavy road transport
DESCRIPTION:Swedish Electromobility Center and Theme 4 are happy to invite you to this online seminar: Electrified regional and long-range heavy road transport \nIn this seminar we will hear Nils-Gunnar Vågstedt\, Scania; Per Bengtsson\, AB Volvo; and Gunnar Ohlin and Andreas Josefsson\, Lindholmen Science Park \, discuss challenges and opportunities with building up an infrastructure for charging heavy vehicles for regional and long-haul applications. A paradigm shift towards heavy duty vehicle fleet electrification is a multifaceted challenge. Research is needed to understand how different actors in the industry and in the society must cooperate and act to speed up the shift and to the solutions are truly sustainable from a system perspective.  We will get insights\, inspiration\, and ideas on research initiatives on what research that are needed in theme 4 to realize this transition. \n  \nWhere: Online via Teams \nMeeting link and presentation slides will be emailed to all registered participants.

SUMMARY:Infrastructure for the charging of electrical vehicles
DESCRIPTION:SEC and Swedish Vehicular Engineering Association\, SVEA\, jointly arrange a seminar that covers Infrastructure for the charging of electrical vehicles in Sweden. \n  \nIn the seminar we lift the challenges related to the infrastructure for the charging of the rapidly growing volumes of electrical vehicles that require charging in Sweden and present possible scenarios for the infrastructure for the charging of electrical vehicles\, including charging when driving and high-power charging. Planned volumes of electrical vehicles\, e.g.\, passenger cars\, trucks and buses and based on the plans predict the requirements for charging will be presented and  also technical solutions that the automotive industry is developing for the charging of electrical vehicles\, short-term and long-term solutions. \n  \nSVEA is a society for automotive engineers and technicians in Sweden. SVEA follows the changes and trends in the automotive industry and education and informs its members and others about what is ongoing in the automotive world. \n  \nClick here for registration to the event \n

SUMMARY:Reliability and Condition Monitoring of Electric Drives Info
DESCRIPTION:Swedish Electromobility Centre and Theme 2 are happy to invite you to this online seminar:\nReliability and Condition Monitoring of Electric Drives Info  \n  \nSafety and reliability are interesting trends within electromobility. In the long term\, improving reliability implies finding new solutions for both components and systems that are inherently safer and more reliable. Fault-tolerant designs with some degree of redundancy will ensure that the vehicle can still operate in case of a fault\, even if the performance is degraded. Moreover\, with an increasing number of electric drives in vehicles\, there is a need for condition monitoring and lifetime estimation techniques for the relevant components already from the design stage. This is necessary not only for safety reasons\, but also for economic reasons\, to make electric vehicles competitive with the traditional combustion solutions – also called “right sizing”. \n  \nIn this workshop\, both SEC research projects and guest speakers will present their latest findings in the topic. \n  \nWelcome to join!

SUMMARY:Seminar about ”Battery-swapping for electric vehicles in China”.
DESCRIPTION:Swedish Electromobility Centre and Theme 5 are happy to invite you to this seminar about ”Battery-swapping for electric vehicles in China” \nHalmstad University started in October 2020 the research project Sweden-China Bridge – Creating A Collaborative Academic Platform for Electrification of Transportation Systems in collaboration with Lund University\, Swedish National Road and Transport Research Institute (VTI) and Jönköping University\, Jönköping International Business School. The project is funded by the Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket\, TRV)\, Sweden and lasts for two years. \n  \nSweden-China Bridge is now publishing the first extensive study in China\, exploring the status of battery-swapping for electric vehicles. Battery-swapping has rapidly become a national strategy as a complementary technology to cable charging. Several Chinese automakers are designing\, manufacturing and supplying complete system solutions. By the end of 2020 there were almost 600 established battery-swapping stations in China. New OEMs are entering this technology route and hundreds of new stations will be established in coming years.\nThe report Exploring battery-swapping for electric vehicles in China 1.0 is a comprehensive 110 pages report exploring the battery-swapping\, its history and the development from pilot stage to national strategy. It also demonstrates how Chinese actors are working on technology development and commercialization\, establishing a new eco-system and new business models for battery-swapping solutions.\nTitle: Exploring battery-swapping for electric vehicles in China 1.0 \n>> Press here for full invitation\,pdf \n

SUMMARY:Seminar about “the role of electricity network companies in the future electrification”
DESCRIPTION:Swedish Electromobility Centre and Theme 5 are happy to invite you to this seminar about “the role of electricity network companies in the future electrification”. \n\nAs more and more vehicles are electrified\, the need for electricity supply will increase. During this seminar\, we will hear two electricity grid companies’ views on electrification and what opportunities and challenges are seen from an electricity grid perspective. Per-Ola Andersson\, Strategy & Business Development\, E.ON and Fredrik Carlsson R&D portfolio manager\, Distribution at Vattenfall\, will present their views on these issues. During the seminar\, we also discuss which laws that exist today for the electricity network companies to comply with and what their view is on the future. We also discuss the terms lack of electric energy (elenergibrist)\, capacity shortages(kapactietsbrist) and lack of electric power (effektbrist) and what this means for the development within the electromobility area. \n>> Press here for full invitation\, pdf \n
