Welcome to the Doctoral student network digital lunch seminar, 12:00-12:30, 2 December 2020.
Kristina Edström, Uppsala university

”Batteries is a key technology for electrification and mobility”

Battery technology is today high on the European agenda. There are a number of different battery initiatives aiming to support the transition of the transport sector to become fossil-free. What batteries are we targeting? What challenges do we need to address to accelerating the finding of new battery chemistries and battery systems? Swedish Electromobility Center and the Competence Center Battery Sweden are complementary actions with strong mutual collaboration that have the ambition to address these questions. How and what will be discussed in the presentation.

About Kristina Edström
Kristina is a professor of chemistry at Uppsala University and she has performed research on batteries since mid-1990 addressing different battery chemistries but also questions around aging and lifetime. Kristina is currently leading one of the largest battery initiatives at the European level with more than 100 partners. She is well anchored also in different research projects related to electromobility and has been a member of the Swedish Electromobility Centre since its start.

About the Doctoral student network digital lunch seminars
During these seminars various aspects of electromobility will be dealt with, based on Academy, Industry and Society perspectives. The seminar series will consist of shorter lectures during lunchtime between 12:00-12:30.

We welcome all our partners to attend the digital lunch seminar between 12:00-12:30, 4 November via Skype.
