ROADS TO THE FUTURE – 27 August

Welcome to SEC’s biennial, international electromobility conference Roads to the Future, which will take place at the Quality Hotel 11 in Gothenburg. The conference addresses the latest research and cutting-edge technology within the field of electromobility. The 2025 theme of Roads to the Future is:

“Circularity and electromobility – where do we stand?”

Circularity has long been seen as a more sustainable economic system where virgin materials can be reused or repurposed instead of becoming waste. This year’s conference is highlighting this topic and asks – where do we stand on circularity in electromobility today? Many different aspects of circularity will be discussed such as technical challenges and expected future scenarios.

The conference brings together researchers, PhD students, and professionals from all over the world to promote an enthusiastic and collaborative approach, with the aim to share knowledge across borders and fields of interest within the scientific community and the industry. The Roads to the Future conference is open to anybody within the field.

E-MOBILITY DAY – 28 August

We welcome all SEC partners to the great opportunity to learn more about SEC research, share knowledge, and network.

At the E-mobility Day conference, our researchers and project leaders present the latest results within the centre. The topics span from challenges with lithium-based solid-state batteries, and energy management strategies, to systems perspectives of high-power charging.

E-mobility Day welcome reception dinner – evening 27 August (open to SEC partners only)

On the evening of 27 August, SEC partners are invited to a three-course welcome reception dinner at Eriksbergshallen.

Hours:     18:00-18:30 Mingle

.               18.30-21.30 Dinner

Venue:     Eriksbergshallen, Sjöportsgatan 5, 417 64 Göteborg (the entrance is right across the street from Hotel 11)

 

Hotel and travel

You book your own travel and hotel.

Rooms are available on a first come first served basis at Quality Hotel 11.

 

How to get to the venue

By bus:     From the Göteborg train station take bus 16 towards Västra Eriksberg, or, bus 21 towards Eketrägatan to bus stop Eriksbergstorget.

By ferry:    From Lilla Bommen or Stenpiren take the ferry towards Klippan to ferry stop Eriksbergs färjeläge.

 

No-show fee and how to unregister

Participation in the conferences and the reception dinner are free of charge. However, please NOTE that a no-show fee will be charged.

• No-show fee for conference SEK 1,000.
• No-show fee for dinner SEK 1,000.

If you need to cancel your spot at the conference(s) or the dinner, please use the unregister link in the confirmation e-mail, or send an e-mail to events@emobilitycentre.se by 12 August.
