On 2 October, the SEC Doctoral Network welcomes Dr. Nils-Gunnar Vågstedt from Scania for our 2024 Network Webinar fall semester series. The talk is entitled “30 years of persistence. Reflections and outlook from my contribution to innovation”.

Who is Nils-Gunnar Vågstedt?

In a few months 30 years pass since Nils-Gunnar defended his PhD in vehicle engineering at KTH, Stockholm. Since then he spent his work life dedicated to drive innovation in leading roles at the Truck and Bus manufacturer Scania, dealing with safety, advanced driver support, connected vehicles and for the latter 15+ years electrified transportation. Technology always been the core, however his persistent work refocus to societal adoption and sustainable business, as the Director of Technology Affairs, at Scania Brussels. Nils-Gunnar’s commitment to SEC, as the Program Council chair of the board since 2012, further exemplifies his long term commitment.
