Resilience out of a System-of-systems perspective
Lei Chen works as a transport system research coordinator at TRATON, focusing on system transformation toward sustainable transport. Lei will frame resilience out of a system-of-systems perspective, highlighting transport as an interconnected set of infrastructures, services, technologies, and governance actors rather than isolated components. Focus is set on how such systems can prevent, absorb, recover from, and adapt to disruptions, while accounting for interdependencies, cascading effects, and cross-sector interactions.

Resilience and electrification – the case of waste collection
Peter Årnäs works as a strategic adviser for the City of Gothenburg, primarily with questions regarding waste and water, but also regarding electrification, and specifically the electrification of refuse collection trucks. Peter will describe the journey towards electrification of waste collection vehicles in Gothenburg, and issues concerning resilience.

Resilience in the freight transport system
Linea Kjellsdotter Ivert works as a research leader in freight transport and logistics with a focus on sustainability at the Swedish National Road and Transport Research Institute. Linea will present how transport buyers, and transport and logistics companies, i.e., freight forwarders, haulage firms, rail and air operators, terminal owners, and ports, work with resilience. She will also address opportunities and challenges, and how resilience can be strengthened in the freight transport system.
