The 2026 E-mobility Day(s) took place in Uppsala 26–27 August. Two fantastic days with many discussions on the future of e-mobility. This event, which is open to all SEC partners, means a lot for building important connections, and we were therefore very happy to see such great turn-up.
The programme covered a broad range of topics, reflecting the multidisciplinary nature of electromobility research. Presentations explored environmental and societal aspects of transport electrification, battery technologies and energy storage, intelligent vehicle systems, electric drives and charging, and vehicle-grid interaction.
The second day concluded with a panel discussion on resilience which has become an increasingly important topic. Jens Hagman, (RISE Research Institutes of Sweden) and Francisco J. (Fran) Márquez-Fernández (Swedish National Road and Transport Research Institute (VTI) who have led an SEC focus group on resilience, gave the audience an overview of the groups work and led the panel discussion. The panel consisted of Linda Olofsson, director of SEC, Janis Daneberg from Lindholmen Science Park, and Joachim Härsjö from Volvo Cars. Nils-Gunnar Vågstedt, (TRATON GROUP), chairman of SEC, also joined via link sharing his thoughts on resilience.
Next year SEC celebrates 20 years as a research centre and will, besides E-mobility Day, also arrange the conference Roads to the Future which is open for everyone interested in e-mobility. We hope to meet you there!
