SEC Doctoral Network Webinar: Per Gyllenspetz – Why making much lighter cars is a good idea

On 5 February, the SEC Doctoral Network welcomes Per Gyllenspetz for our 2025 Network Webinars spring semester series. The talk is entitled ”Why making much lighter cars is a good idea”. This webinar lecture character is an experienced based outlook on the future of Electrical Vehicles and Mobility. The focus is creativity and action, i.e. a heuristic view. There are few data and evidence references since the future is something we create.
About the guest speaker
Per Gyllenspetz is a designer, inventor, and writer with 11 patented innovations in his portfolio. He has a background in industrial design from University of Gothenburg, and a career contribution of about two decades in Volvo Cars having worked as industrial designer and concept leader/inventor. He has also worked at Labyrint AS in design and advanced engineering as well as is the co-founder of OZ Marine electric drives.
Per was also involved in ITRL at KTH as creative motor and project manager in various mobility and autonomous R&D projects, and since 2023 his efforts are focused on maximum sustainability boat concept Lancha and concept on 300kg vehicles. He has been involved also in numerous consulting, advising, lecturing, and publishing activites in Scandinavia and Califoria. Per lives in Gothenburg and is driven by the idea of going easier on Earth.
