Information about Volvo CE
Volvo CE is a world-leading manufacturer of construction equipment and today we have the widest range of electric construction machines in the industry. Electromobility is key to building the world we want to live in and where sustainability requirements are increasing by the minute. We at Volvo CE have a responsibility to reduce our carbon footprint and our goal is to achieve zero greenhouse gas emissions in the value chain by 2040, with significant emission reductions as early as 2030. Content of the Day
The study visit consists of three parts.
In the morning the hosts at Volvo CE will present the company, and you will get a chance to share your research with them and practice how to pitch your results in a 2-minute-poster presentation (bring it in digital format).
In the afternoon there will be a visit to their site and you will experience how they work at Volvo CE, as well as in-depth discussions in small groups together with their specialists from different areas. The visit will end with a machine show where you get to see the Volvo CE vehicles in action!
For those of you who have time to stay the evening, SEC invites you to dinner and a visit to the Munktell Museum (https://munktellmuseet.com/en/). At the museum you will be presented both historical machines and equipment as well as more modern ones. The visit ends with a dinner and you can stay until the museum closes at 22:00, or leave after the dinner if you need to catch a train home.
