Study visit at Volvo Cars in Gothenburg

The SEC PhD student network invites you to join us for a study visit to Volvo Cars in Gothenburg. The program will include a study visit to see their labs and experience how they work at Volvo Cars, as well as discussions with their electromobility specialists.
Information about Volvo Cars
Volvo Cars is a premium car brand with the mission to be a fully electric brand by 2030 and all new cars introduced from today and forward will only be battery electric vehicles. Volvo Cars wants to provide you with the freedom to move in a personal, sustainable, and safe way. So come and meet the Electric Propulsion unit of Volvo Cars to see how they plan to live up to this expectation. The electric propulsion unit is responsible for the electric drive, batteries, charging as well as energy systems.
Preliminary schedule
11:30–12:00 Arrival Volvo Cars
12:00–13:00 Lunch at the Volvo Cars site, at the restaurant Harvest where you can pick between the lunch of the day, http://harvestrestaurant.se/.
13:00–15:00 Lab tour of propulsion labs
15:00–16:30 Networking opportunity and a possibility to discuss your research topic with Volvo Cars representatives and the other PhD students.

Cost
The study visit is free of charge, and lunch is included.
The PhD student needs to make and fund their own travel to and from the event.

Maximum 30 participants in total. Some spots are reserved for participants in the course “Electromobility Systems – design project” (a separate registration form).
