Welcome to an open online seminar held by Theme (4) Environment and Society. Guest speaker is Patrick Plötz from Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research ISI in Germany.

Both battery and hydrogen fuel cell trucks are options for zero emission road freight. In the presentation, Plötz will present and discuss arguments for and against either including vehicle range, costs, infrastructure, and user perspective for today and future developments. Taking everything together, hydrogen is unlikely to play a major role in road freight but could be an interesting niche.
