Theme 4 Seminar – Can agriculture be electrified?

24 April, 2023,08:30-10:00

Agriculture is heavily dependent on fossil fuels, and it is a sector that is difficult to electrify due to challenging demands. In this open online seminar arranged by the thematic area Environment & Society, Dr. Oscar Lagnelöv from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences presents the findings of his PhD thesis work entitled “Electric autonomous tractors in Swedish agriculture: A systems analysis of economic, environmental and performance effects”.

We will also be introduced to the “Electric Farm” project by PhD student Edvin Wallander from Lund University. The project gathers expertise in autonomous electric off-road vehicles, agriculture, energy storage solutions, and electric power systems under one roof.

The Zoom link for the seminar will be sent close to the event to those who register.

The last day of registration is 21 April at 12.00.
