Swedish Electromobility Centre welcomes you to two conference days on August 29-30 in Kista. Roads to the Future is open to anyone who wishes to participate. E-mobility Day is a conference day for SEC and all its partners.

 

Roads to the Future – 29 August

The 2023 theme of Roads to the Future is:

Electric vehicles as a new player in the electricity grid

Welcome to SEC’s biennial, international electromobility conference Roads to the Future, which will take place right outside Stockholm at Kista Science Tower. The conference addresses the latest research and cutting-edge technology within the field of electromobility.

Highlighted this year, are important aspects of the integration of a growing electric fleet into the electricity grid, based on reliability, robustness, and resilience. Current issues such as preparedness and priorities will also be discussed as well as charging and buffering demands on the grid, the infrastructure, and the batteries.

The conference brings together researchers, students, and professionals from all over the world to promote an enthusiastic and collaborative approach, with the aim to share knowledge across borders and fields of interest within the scientific community and the industry.

E-mobility Day welcome reception dinner – evening 29 August

On the evening of 29 August, SEC partners are invited to a three-course welcome reception dinner at the Kista Science Tower.

E-mobility Day – 30 August

We welcome all our partners to the great opportunity to learn more about SEC research, share knowledge, and network.

At the E-mobility Day conference, our researchers and project leaders present the latest results within the centre. The topics span from challenges with lithium-based solid-state batteries, and energy management strategies, to systems perspectives of high-power charging.

Something extra for the non-partners to SEC on 30 August
For you who are not partners of SEC, we would like to draw your attention to the Kista Mobility Day in Kista on 30 August, following Roads to the Future. Make the most of your visit by joining Kista Mobility Day 2023, an annual event arranged by Kista Science City, Ericsson, and the City of Stockholm.

With a focus on how to drive the shift towards more sustainable practices in the transport system, you are invited to a day filled with inspiring keynotes, informative seminars, engaging roundtable discussions, and an impressive open-air exhibition. 

Expand knowledge, make new connections, and contribute to shaping a sustainable tomorrow.

Kista Mobility Day

 

No-show fee

Participation in the conferences and the dinner reception are free of charge.

However, please NOTE that a no-show fee will be charged. Therefore, you will kindly be asked to provide billing information at registration.

• A SEK 500/day fee will be charged for a no-show for each conference.
• For those registered for dinner on 29 August, a no-show fee of SEK 700 will be charged.

You book your own travel and hotel.

How to get to the venue

Subway

From the Stockholm Central/T-Centralen, you go by the blue underground line towards Akalla. Travel to the station Kista Centrum, approximately 15 minutes. Exit the station and turn left towards Kista Science City. You are now in Kista Galleria. At the first crossroad in the Galleria turn right under a big sign saying “Rusta”. Walk straight ahead and out through the doors. Right across the street is the Kista Science Tower, on Färögatan 33.

 

By car from Stockholm

Take the E4 towards Uppsala, exit at Kista S. Follow the sign for Kista, left onto Kymlingelänken (road 279). Keep right, turn onto Hanstavägen. Drive straight ahead in the roundabout and continue Hanstavägen (you now have the Kista Science Tower on your left). Turn left between Kista Science Tower and Kista Galleria, park in Kista Science Tower or Kista Galleria garage. The Kista Science Tower Conference is located on the entrance level (level 3) of the Kista Science Tower. Lifts are available from the parking garage.

 

Parking

There is a parking garage on floors 0 and 1 of the Kista Science Tower. The cost of parking is SEK 15 per hour. The garage is open 24 hours a day. Between 5.30pm and 7.30am, a pass card is required to gain access to the property.

 

Commuter train

Södertälje – Arlanda. From Stockholm Central you go towards Arlanda. Go to Helenelund station. Travel time approx. 15 minutes from Stockholm Central.
