SEC will be represented at the EVS36 conference in Sacramento, California. Director Linda Olofsson will present a paper highlighting the successful collaboration between various actors within different disciplines and industries. The paper addresses challenges for full-scale implementation of an electric fleet into the transport ecosystem, emphasizing the interconnection of different systems and SEC’s contribution to large-scale implementation.

SEC representatives participated in the VECS conference, moderating a track on battery technology, hydrogen, and V2G. Keynote speakers included SEC researcher Mats Alaküla and Nils-Gunnar Vågstedt, Chairman of the board at SEC. The conference highlighted the autonomous and electric future of transportation, emphasizing the integration of electromobility into society. Discussions on EVs’ role in renewable energy systems and the need for more fast chargers in Sweden were also featured.

Uncover the complex web of environmental impacts associated with the production and recycling of lithium-ion batteries. Explore the critical factors influencing their life cycle and gain insights into reducing greenhouse gas emissions and local pollution. This research study sheds light on sustainable battery manufacturing processes and paves the way for a more eco-friendly future.

Algorithms increase the efficiency for researchers working on battery aging estimations. “Unlike previous studies that required collecting, storing, transmitting, and processing a large dataset, the team only needed a small […]

The battery is a critical part in an electric vehicle’s lifetime. One bad cell could shorten the life of the battery with years. With the new reconfigurable battery type that is under development and its diagnostics tools, the bad cell can be found and replaced or isolated without having to change the whole battery, which extends the lifetime and value of the vehicle.

SEC’s Director Linda Olofsson and Stefan Pettersson, RISE, also active in SEC, will be moderators for the Track D Electrification.

Swedavia is new Network Partner in SEC. Swedish airports are preparing for electric flight and are at the same time on the way of becoming climate neutral.
